AIMS
The Institute of Asian and African Studies was established to address the issues in the economic and trade relations between China and the rest of Asia and the African countries. The institute aims to make policy recommendations on the healthy and orderly development of the trade and economic cooperation between China and these countries and regions.

FUNCTIONS
1. Conduct the researches on the Asian economy, cooperation between China and other Asian countries, as well as the African economy and cooperation between China and the African countries;
2. Conduct synergetic researches, with the backing of the available MOFCOM platforms for policy, information and communications and by integrating the internal and external academic resources, to enhance the studies on the above areas.
3. Provide consulting services to the government departments, businesses, various entities and institutions at home and abroad. Undertake market investigations and policy analyses on the above areas.
