The Institute of International Trade in Services (IITS) was founded in March, 2012 in order to optimize allocation of resources, and to seize the opportunity of the rapid development of the global services trade and China’s services trade and commercial services. IITS is affiliated to Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation (CAITEC), directly under the Ministry of Commerce, P.R. China. IITS is dedicated to conducting the professional research for the government policy-making, the local economic growth and the business development.

AIMS
Aims of IITS are as follows: To facilitate the development of China`s services trade and commercial services, and to offer expert advices to the State Council, the Ministry of Commerce and other government agencies on policy-making; to formulate business development strategies and plans for local agencies in provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions; and to provide services of information, consultation and matchmaking to enterprises for capacity building and market expansion.

FUNCTIONS
IITS undertakes main functions as follows: To carry out theoretical and policy research on trade in services; to carry out research into international market situation in services trade; to carry out the strategic research, planning and consultation on the outsourcing development of cities, business parks and enterprises; to conduct related exhibitions, seminars and trainings; to carry out research into the foreign outsourcing market; and to develop cooperation and exchanges with related agencies.
■  Undertaking research projects of trade in services and commercial services from the central and local governments as well as businesses.
■  Participating in developing related standards of trade in services and commercial services in China.
■  Organizing international seminars, conferences and project matchmaking in trade in services and commercial services.
■  Providing information, consultation and training of services trade at home and abroad.
